ROLE DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a motivated Cost Consultant/Quantity Surveyor to join our London-based team. This full-time, hybrid role involves delivering cost consultancy services on residential developments across the UK. You will work closely with clients and project teams, across all stages of a project life cycle. Typical project values range from £20m - £150m.


We value individuals who are forward-thinking and open to the evolving role of digital technology and AI in the construction industry, and who are keen to contribute to the ongoing development of our cost management capability.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Ability to undertake day-to-day cost management tasks, supporting senior team members across assigned projects.
  • General understanding of core cost management services including cost planning, procurement, and post-contract activities
  • MRICS qualification or currently undertaking the APC process is preferred
  • An adaptable and proactive individual, comfortable working both collaboratively within a team and independently when required
  • Developing commercial awareness, with an interest in understanding project financial drivers and client objectives
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues and clients.
  • High attention to detail, with a clear understanding of accuracy, and the importance of quality assurance.
  • High standards of literacy and numeracy.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage workloads across multiple projects
  • Demonstrable passion for the Real Estate and Construction Industry and a desire to continue developing a career within consultancy
  • An interest in digital and data-led approaches to cost management, with a willingness to engage with evolving digital tools used in project delivery

PLACE WITHIN THE BUSINESS:

You will report directly to a Senior Cost Consultant or Associate Director. You will also be provided with coaching and support to facilitate career development planning as required.
