Secondary Teaching Assistant
Graduate Role | SEN & SEMH Support | Immediate Start
A forward-thinking Secondary School is looking to appoint an ambitious Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with SEN and SEMH needs across KS3 and KS4.
This role is well suited to graduates aiming for teacher training, educational psychology or mental health professions, who want meaningful, school-based experience.
The Role:
- Supporting students with additional needs both in and out of the classroom
- Working 1:1 with pupils who require behavioural, emotional or academic support
- Assisting with intervention sessions to improve engagement and attainment
- Collaborating with teaching staff and pastoral teams to ensure consistent support
The Ideal Candidate:
- Graduate from a leading UK university
- Strong academic background and a genuine interest in secondary education
- Proven experience supporting young people with SEN or SEMH needs
- Confident, patient and able to build positive relationships with teenagers
