Software Engineer
AudienceProject is looking for a Software Engineer
Job description
Software Developer — Full Reach (Targeting & Audience Segmentation)
Location: Copenhagen or London (hybrid / flexible)
Join the journey to bring light to the dark of advertising
At AudienceProject, we build independent, privacy-first advertising technology that brings transparency and accountability to an increasingly complex ecosystem. We believe the best products are built by people who are trusted, supported, and challenged. That belief is reflected in a culture built around freedom, trust, and continuous development.
Full Reach is our targeting product, the audience segmentation and precision marketing solution in our SaaS platform. It enables publishers and advertisers to define, activate, and scale high-quality audience segments across web, app, and CTV inventory in a way that is privacy-safe and future-proof.
We are looking for a developer with experience in AdTech to help us evolve and scale Full Reach both technically and conceptually as the product continues to grow in scope, complexity, and impact.
What you will work on
- Design, build, and evolve backend services that power audience segmentation, targeting logic, and activation workflows.
- Develop APIs and systems that operate reliably at scale in AWS-based cloud environments.
- Work with data-intensive and computation-heavy components, balancing precision, performance, and cost.
- Collaborate across disciplines including product, data science or ML, and frontend.
- Improve system operability through testing, monitoring, and pragmatic deployment practices.
- Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making as the product evolves.
Required skill set
- Experience with AdTech, targeting, audience segmentation, or precision marketing solutions.
- 3+ years of professional experience building and operating production software.
- Strong backend engineering skills using Scala, Python, or comparable languages.
- Experience designing and running systems in a cloud environment such as AWS.
- Solid understanding of software design, testing, debugging, and long-term maintainability.
- Ability to reason about trade-offs in distributed or data-heavy systems.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working in cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with privacy-aware or consent-driven data processing.
How we work at AudienceProject
We believe great products come from people who are given both freedom and responsibility.
We work in a hybrid setup and trust you to decide where and how you do your best work. You will be part of an open, collaborative, and international environment where it is safe to experiment, ask questions, challenge assumptions, and learn from mistakes.
Knowledge sharing and continuous development are central to how we work. We expect our products, our technology, and our people to keep evolving.
