Quality Inspection Manager – Greenwich - £55,000 + Bonus + Ex. Benefits – Permanent


About the role:

As Quality Inspection Manager, you’ll lead and develop our Greenwich inspection team, ensuring Production and Stores are fully supported. You’ll drive a culture of quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement, using a risk-based approach to maintain the highest inspection standards.

What you’ll be doing:

Lead and grow the team – manage inspection and control staff, driving performance and development.

Oversee inspections – ensure all products meet quality standards and non-conformances are resolved quickly.

Apply risk-based inspection – prioritise high-risk items for full inspection and sample lower-risk items.

Develop skills – deliver structured training, sign-offs, coaching, and performance feedback.

Champion quality culture – promote accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across the team.

Collaborate across departments – work with Production, Stores, and Engineering to support operations.

Ensure safety and compliance – maintain QHSE standards and regulatory requirements.

Monitor and report performance – track quality metrics, support investigations, and drive process improvements.


What you’ll need:

Proven leader – experience managing, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.

Inspection expertise – hands-on experience in quality inspection/control with risk-based methodologies.

Production experience – background in high- or low-volume manufacturing environments.

Quality mindset – committed to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Technical knowledge – skilled in measurement tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers, shadowgraph, Talyrond) and engineering drawings (G, D&T).

Education – Engineering degree or equivalent; relevant training/certifications a plus.
