Mobile Software Engineer - IOS & Android

Salary : £50,000 - £75,000

We’re looking for a Mobile Software Engineer to build and maintain mobile applications used for robot control and data collection.

These applications are the primary interface through which users interact with robotic systems, so performance, reliability, and user experience are critical.

This role focuses on creating intuitive mobile experiences that make complex robot behaviour easy to understand, while supporting real time communication and data visualisation in real world environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms
• Design clear, intuitive user interfaces for robot control and monitoring
• Implement real time data visualisation and live communication features
• Optimise application performance across devices and varying network conditions
• Ensure a high standard of usability, stability, and responsiveness
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate mobile applications with robotic systems

Requirements

• Experience with React Native and native iOS or Android development
• Strong understanding of mobile UI and UX principles
• Experience working with real time data streaming
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript

Nice to have

• Experience with WebRTC or similar real time communication protocols
• Background in robotics, IoT, or hardware integrated applications
• Experience with Bluetooth or WiFi based device communication
