Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Consultant to join our dynamic team that specialises in UK M&A Opportunities within defined specialist sectors.


You will have sector knowledge of the renewables or express logistics sectors or another sector with a proven track record and be able to demonstrate previous M&A successes and be able to make an immediate impact.


The role involves advising clients on the acquisition, merger, and divestiture of businesses with a trading history within the 1m-10m range, providing insightful analysis, and managing complex projects to successful completion.


Key Responsibilities

·       Identify & Develop M&A opportunities within defined specialist sectors.

·       Lead and support the execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side mandates.

·       Conduct financial and strategic analysis to identify potential acquisition targets or buyers, evaluate opportunities, and assess risks.

·       Prepare detailed financial models, business valuations, and due diligence reports.

·       Draft marketing materials, presentations, and pitch documents for clients and investors.

·       Coordinate and liaise with legal, tax, and accounting advisors.

·       Negotiate deal structures, terms, and contracts alongside senior team members or clients.

·       Provide post-merger integration support and strategic advice to maximise value realisation.

·       Stay abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting M&A activity.


Qualifications and Experience

·       In depth market knowledge of our target sectors or other sector valuation metrics and likely buyers.

·       Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in M&A advisory

·       Strong analytical, and valuation skills.

·       Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

·       Demonstrated project management skills and the capacity to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines.

·       High attention to detail and a proactive, client-focused approach.

·       Fluency in English
