Job Description: Lead Requirements Engineer – Vehicle Efficiency

Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire, UK

Employment Type: Hybrid (2-3 Days onsite)

Work Type: Contract (40 hours/week)

Rate: £33.87 per hour (Inside IR35)

About the Role:

Envisage is seeking a Lead Requirements Engineer to join our Vehicle Efficiency team, focusing on electrical efficiency for all powertrain variants. This role is pivotal in translating customer needs into clear engineering requirements and ensuring cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in requirements management, stakeholder communication, and test case development, rather than deep technical expertise in efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Authoring & Ownership:

◦ Develop and maintain electrical power targets into actionable engineering requirements.

◦ Ensure traceability and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

• Test Case Development:

◦ Create and manage test cases to validate requirements.

◦ Communicate effectively with validation & testing teams.

• Cross-Functional Leadership:

◦ Act as the primary liaison between engineering functions.

◦ Ensure consistent implementation of requirements across stakeholders.

• Change Management:

◦ Track and assess impact of changes on vehicle programs.

◦ Lead updates to requirements and communicate modifications.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Essential:

◦ Proven experience in writing and managing technical requirements.

◦ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

◦ Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., Dassault TRM, IBM DOORS). ◦Understanding of systems engineering principles and V-model development.

• Education:

◦ Graduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering.
