The Role
You’ll design, build, test, and deliver RF‑based systems used across robotics, sensing, defence, and autonomous platforms.
What you’ll work on:
- RF, microwave, and analogue circuit design & simulation
- Radio, radar, and sensor system architectures
- RF amplifiers, filters, mixers, and frequency synthesisers
- Prototype development, verification, and validation
- mmWave experimentation and characterisation
- Practical hands‑on lab work using spectrum/network analysers and anechoic chambers
- Full lifecycle engineering — from concept to working hardware
- You’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineers and translate complex technical principles into clear explanations for non‑technical stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- Strong MEng (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or related field
- 6+ years’ experience designing RF‑based circuits (radios, radar, high‑frequency systems)
- Proven track record taking products/modules from concept to verification
- Strong microwave, RF, and analogue design & simulation skills
- Experience with RF amplifier, filter, and frequency synthesiser design
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of radio and/or radar system design
- Team leadership or line‑management experience
- Digital circuit design skills
- Experience working at mmWave frequencies
