E-commerce Operator
NISHURA LIMITED is looking for a E-commerce Operator
Job description
E-commerce Operator
Full-time – London W11
Keiko Uchida is one of Notting Hill’s most iconic stores, specialising in the finest Japanese
teas and ceramics, and an international name for online customers. With decades of
experience as a tea master, Keiko Uchida set up the Japanese tea studio in 2015, going on to
create her renowned Tea Ceremony Workshops, and introducing clients to the Art of Tea
and her expert knowledge of Matcha. Celebrated for its focus on Japanese culture, the
business has an exceptional international customer base.
We are now looking for an energetic and experienced E-commerce Operator to join the
small-scale team at the store - overseeing and driving our e-commerce business forward,
managing and developing the company’s website, taking responsibility for the online orders,
handling analytics and reporting, and looking after online queries.
Such a multi-disciplinary role will suit someone attracted to the working environment of a
fast-growing small company, and the challenge of the range of responsibilities that such a
situation provides.
The key areas of responsibility are as follows –
• Managing and developing online store, using Shopify, including apps
• Registering new items, editing descriptions and notes
• Applying prices, maintaining pricing systems (eg VAT)
• Writing and editing meta descriptions / URLs
• Photography and image editing (Photoshop)
• Managing online orders
• Dispatching online orders (ordering / packing / registrations)
• Website management and development (stock monitoring, layout etc)
• Newsletter management
• Financial administration (VAT / organic certification)
• Managing Google business profile / analytics
• Providing customer support / online queries
Experience Required
The post will require at least 1 year’s e-commerce experience, gained using Shopify in a
commercial environment, and fluency in Photoshop / Canva / Illustrator. We are looking for
someone with a real knowledge of how to run an online store, confident with order
processes and the ecosystem, including analytics and financial reporting. Website
management skills will be second nature and good photography skills a valuable asset. If you
have international shipment expertise, all the better.
For the right person it’s a first-class opportunity, taking on a wealth of responsibilities in a
fast-growing company that’s one of the most successful – and delightful – cultural icons in
Notting Hill. The package is dependent on experience. Working hours 9.00 to 6.00 (1 hour
break) working in-store.
To apply, please send us your CV to - office@nishura.com - accompanied by a short film
(MP4 up to 60 seconds) telling us something about yourself and what you have to offer.
