Account Manager – Internal Communications

£40-50,000 DOE

London based - full time - 1 day a week in office minimum

The Internal Communications Division is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will work across a diverse portfolio of clients spanning multiple sectors, including financial services, pharmaceutical, and beyond.

Reporting to the Internal Communications Lead, you will play a key part in delivering strategic communications programmes that drive employee engagement and organisational impact across complex, large-scale businesses.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the Internal Communications Account Director and wider team in delivering client projects and campaigns
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder and client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communications briefs from inception through completion
  • Oversee events management, including both in-person and online experiences
  • Manage project budgets, coordinate external suppliers, and allocate internal resources effectively
  • Develop compelling written content and creative briefs that drive engagement


Experience and Knowledge


  • Proven experience in internal communications and employee engagement, preferably within large, complex organisations
  • Global business experience is advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience in client and stakeholder management and relationship development
  • Strong understanding of the creative development process
  • Must have agency experience


Skills and Attributes


  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a genuine passion for storytelling and clear communication
  • Ability to write effective creative and design briefs
  • Proficiency with multimedia technologies, including intranets, social platforms, SharePoint, email platforms, and content management systems
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to use analytics to measure and improve communications effectiveness
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines
  • Professional and credible presence with strong communication skills at both strategic and operational levels
  • Excellent time management and project coordination abilities
  • Demonstrated capability to contribute meaningfully to project and programme development
