We’re looking for a skilled Unity Programmer to join our expanding team and help build the next wave of free-to-play mobile games. In this role, you’ll be hands-on with the development, optimisation, and ongoing support of core gameplay systems using C# and Unity.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and maintaining gameplay systems and features across both front-end and back-end codebases in C#.
  • Optimising and supporting systems throughout the Unity engine, from UI and player-facing mechanics to low-level core architecture.
  • Working closely with designers, artists, and fellow engineers to create engaging, high-quality player experiences.
  • Contributing across the full development lifecycle, starting from early concepts and prototypes through launch and live operations.
  • Identifying, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues to keep performance and stability at a best-in-class level across platforms.
  • Shipping updates and improvements to live titles on multiple mobile app stores.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related discipline.
  • Strong working knowledge of C# and the Unity engine.
  • Solid problem-solving ability with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Clear communicator who works well in a team environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience developing mobile games, particularly free-to-play titles.
  • Familiarity with Android and/or iOS development pipelines.

What we offer:

  • 28 days holiday, increasing to 31 days with length of service.
  • Christmas shutdown period.
  • An additional day off if your birthday falls on a weekday.
  • High-end hardware is provided as standard.
  • Competitive base salary, with structured pay reviews every 6 months for the first three years.
  • Relocation support is available where required.
  • Regular off-site team activities throughout the year.
  • A genuine work/life balance, NO CRUNCH PERIODS.

This is a strong opportunity to join a driven, fast-moving team building modern mobile games. If you’re serious about game development and able to work on-site in the North East of England, we want to hear from you.
