Senior / Principal Transmission Lines Engineer (Relocation from the UK to Australia)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior / Principal Transmission Lines Engineer (Civil / Structural) to relocate from the UK to Australia and join one of the strongest transmission engineering teams in the Asia-Pacific region.

You’ll be based in one of our Australian offices (Perth or Adelaide) and will play a key role in the design, delivery, and technical leadership of overhead transmission line projects, supporting major utilities and renewable developers.

This role suits engineers who want:

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting the planning, design, and construction of overhead transmission lines
• Delivering high-voltage transmission tower designs (up to 500kV)
• Using PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE at an advanced level
• Providing technical guidance, mentoring, and peer review
• Working closely with clients, project teams, and external stakeholders
• Applying Australian and international standards across transmission projects

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 12+ years’ experience in transmission line design and delivery
• Strong understanding of overhead line systems and structural behaviour
• Foundation design experience will be highly regarded
• Experience with international standards (UK, European, Australian, or US)
• Familiarity with standards such as AS/NZS 7000, ASCE 74, ASCE 10 (or willingness to upskill)
• Chartered status preferred (or ability to obtain CPEng in Australia)
• Clear communication skills and a practical, delivery-focused mindset
