Position Overview:
The Sales Solutions Architect is a critical role responsible for designing and delivering
customized energy management and indoor air quality solutions. This individual will
leverage both hardware and software technologies to meet client needs, working closely
with the sales team to support technical presentations and solution design. This position
requires a deep understanding of building systems, IoT devices, energy performance, and
air quality monitoring, alongside strong customer-facing communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Support & Consultation:
· Collaborate with the sales team to identify client needs, challenges, and sustainability goals related to energy management and indoor air quality.
· Lead technical discovery sessions with clients, conducting needs analysis and understanding existing building infrastructure and energy consumption.
· Conduct comprehensive site surveys to capture potential infrastructure limitations.
· Develop customized solution proposals that integrate both hardware devices (sensors, meters, etc.) and our software platform for performance tracking and optimization.
· Create engineering scope of work clearly outlining the intended services provided, to be used as part of the larger contract.
· Prepare and deliver tailored product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations to key stakeholders, highlighting the benefits of the energy and air quality monitoring platform.
Solution Design & Architecture:
· Architect comprehensive solutions that combine hardware (sensors, meters, monitoring devices) and software to track, analyze, and improve building energy efficiency and indoor air quality.
· Design solutions for scalable deployment across large building portfolios, ensuring seamless integration with existing building systems such as HVAC, IAQ, lighting, occupancy tracking, and energy monitoring tools.
· Work with the product and engineering teams to develop or customize platform features and hardware integration according to specific client needs.
Sales Enablement:
· Serve as the primary technical resource during the sales cycle, providing technical insights, answering complex questions, and alleviating client concerns.
· Assist in the preparation of RFP responses, proposals, and other sales materials, ensuring that all technical elements are properly articulated.
· Support sales with technical documentation to help communicate the value of the solutions.
· Collaborate with marketing to create white papers and case studies detailing prior successes.
Post-Sales Transition:
· Ensure a smooth handover to the implementation and customer success teams, providing detailed technical documentation and guidance on the chosen solution.
· Act as a point of contact during the early stages of deployment to resolve any technical issues and ensure client satisfaction.
Industry & Product Expertise:
· Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in energy management, air quality monitoring, IoT devices, and building automation technologies.
· Maintain a deep knowledge of our product offerings, including hardware sensors, software platforms, and integrations.
· Provide feedback to the product development team based on client interactions and emerging industry trends to help drive continuous improvement in our offerings.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
· Advanced degree or certifications in energy management, building automation, or sustainability are a plus.
Experience:
· 3+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting, preferably within the HVAC systems, energy management, smart buildings, or related IoT systems
· Proven experience designing and delivering integrated hardware-software solutions for HVAC, building management, energy optimization, air quality monitoring, or related IoT systems
· Familiarity with IoT devices, sensors, software, and integration protocols used in building management (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, Zigbee).
Technical Skills:
· Strong understanding of energy management systems (EMS), such as energy metering, building management systems (BMS), HVAC design, software development, etc.
· Knowledge of indoor air quality monitoring technologies and key metrics (e.g., CO2, VOCs, humidity, and particulate matter).
· Experience with hardware devices and sensors, including installation, configuration, and integration with software platforms.
· Familiarity with cloud platforms and data analytics related to building performance and environmental monitoring.
Soft Skills:
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to design creative and effective solutions.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines while collaborating across different teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with sustainability initiatives such as LEED, WELL, or other green building certifications.
· Previous experience working in the building automation, energy, or environmental sectors.
· Familiarity with software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, APIs, and cloud integration.

THE ROLE:
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our innovative, fast-growing team. You will be responsible for supporting the daily Accounts Payable operations and providing administrative support. You will be reporting to the VP of Finance.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Managed the shared inbox and answer promptly in an efficient and professional manner
· Maintain and process accounts payable in adherence with company policies
· Processing vendor invoices for payment in the accounting system
· Monitor and maintain open items in accounts payables, including reconciliation to vendor statements
· Communicate with suppliers and internal partners regarding missing documents or information, bank change requests or price variances
· Scanning issued checks and maintaining outstanding checks tracker
· Providing backup to the AR function, including collections calls and recording customer cash receipts into system as needed
· Assisting with month-end activities such as journal entry preparation, reconciliations and financial statement preparation
· Preparing purchase orders and track as necessary, order status, items in transit, items received and items returned
· Assist with compiling information requests for year-end audit
· Receiving, logging, scanning, distributing, and filing physical mail
· Provide administrative assistance to accounting team
· Assisting with special projects and ad hoc requests
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent is preferred
· A minimum of 3 years of accounting related experience is preferred
· Experience with NetSuite a strong asset
· Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills are required to communicate with various contacts internally and externally, at varying levels within the organization
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and deadline-oriented environment
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)
Pay in Lieu of Benefits: 6% of salary
Pension/RRSP Match: Up to 4% of salary
Salary: 50,000-60,000
