Software Tester – up to £40,000 – Bolton

Are you a QA Tester / Software tester who thrives in a collaborative SaaS environment and wants to make a real impact? This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, data-driven SaaS business delivering powerful software solutions to customers across multiple industries.

Having worked closely with this business for several years and helped build out the QA function, I can vouch for how the culture is genuinely strong.

You’ll initially focus on manual testing but will be able to progress into automation further down the line. If you enjoy speaking up, improving processes, and working closely with developers and product teams, you’ll feel right at home here.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Understanding business, functional, and technical requirements to define effective test conditions
• Designing and executing functional tests across UI, APIs, databases, and third-party integrations
• Preparing test data and capturing clear test evidence
• Actively contributing to solution design to ensure the best customer outcomes
• Logging high-quality defects that are easy to reproduce and fix
• Identifying, managing, and mitigating testing risks
• Supporting end users by investigating issues across UAT and production, including root cause analysis
• Performing exploratory testing and analysing logs and system behaviour
• Collaborating closely with developers, other Test analysts, and operations to ensure smooth releases

I want to speak to you if you have:

• 3+ years’ experience in a professional QA / testing environment
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and QA processes
• Experience with both front-end and back-end testing
• Confident writing and executing SQL queries
• Hands-on experience with Postman (or similar API testing tools)
• ISTQB Foundation certification
• Exposure to .NET Core / .NET Standard or JavaScript-based front-end frameworks
• Any experience or interest in automation testing
