We are partnering with a well-established and highly regarded provider of validation and monitoring equipment to support the expansion of their UK commercial presence. With a strong global reputation and significant success across Ireland, the business is now investing in UK growth, creating a newly established Business Development role with genuine greenfield scope.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional to take ownership of a territory, represent premium technical products, and play a key role in shaping the company’s long-term success in the region.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building the UK market from the ground up. This is a hunter-focused position centred on new business generation, where you will identify opportunities, open doors with new customers, and develop long-term commercial relationships across the pharma and biotech sectors.
Operating as an individual contributor, you will manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting through to close - while collaborating with technical and international teams to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across the UK within pharma and biotech organisations
- Identify, target, and win new accounts through proactive outreach and relationship building
- Manage the full sales cycle, including pipeline development, forecasting, and contract negotiation
- Develop and execute a territory strategy aligned with company growth objectives
- Maintain consistent CRM activity and reporting
- Partner closely with internal technical teams to support customer requirements
- Represent the organisation at industry events and networking opportunities
Candidate Profile
- Proven track record in new business sales, ideally within validation, qualification, or technical equipment
- Experience selling into regulated environments such as pharma or biotech
- Demonstrated hunter mentality with evidence of winning and developing new accounts
- Strong commercial acumen with a structured approach to territory planning and pipeline management
- Technical aptitude; a science or engineering background is advantageous
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating autonomously in a remote environment
- Minimum of approximately 5 years’ relevant B2B sales experience
Why Join?
- Newly created role with significant ownership and impact
- Opportunity to build and shape a high-growth UK market
- Represent a respected brand with premium, well-regarded products
- Fully remote working with strong organisational support
- Collaborative international environment with clear growth ambitions
If you are energised by building markets, winning new business, and working with high-quality technical solutions, this role offers the autonomy and platform to make a meaningful commercial impact.
