Event Sales Executive
Reporting to: Head of Events and Catering
Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible depending on business needs)
Historic London venue dating back to the 1500’s! Consisting of 6 different spaces to accommodate conferences, AGMs, seminars, exhibitions and trade fairs. Banqueting and private events, formal banquets, dinner and dancing, fashion shows, cocktail parties, musical evenings, celebratory lunches and discrete private soirees:
Purpose
To drive profitable events business through proactive and reactive sales, marketing and client management, while delivering exceptional event planning and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Marketing
- Proactively generate and convert new business to meet financial targets.
- Promote the venue through digital and print marketing, including venue platforms, mail campaigns, newsletters, press and Google Ads.
- Manage and develop the CRM system to support strategic sales growth.
- Maintain strong client relationships, manage key accounts and follow up all enquiries promptly.
- Support budgeting, reporting and attendance at trade events and showcase evenings.
Event Planning
- Act as main point of contact from enquiry to final invoice.
- Plan and coordinate events in line with company terms and venue regulations.
- Issue contracts, secure deposits and ensure timely final payments.
- Accurately prepare event documentation and liaise closely with the catering and operations teams.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in sales, marketing and event planning.
- Knowledge of venue platforms, CRM systems and PPC campaigns (e.g. Google Ads).
- Commercially aware, highly organised and detail-focused.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Calm under pressure and a collaborative team player.
