Business Development & Pitch Specialist

Carter Murray is looking for a Business Development & Pitch Specialist

Job description

This Business Development Specialist role sits within a top‑ranking, market‑leading specialist law firm. Their structure and way of operating differ from the traditional law‑firm model, giving them a distinct edge and creating a genuinely exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make an impact.

Working as part of the global BD team, you will become the firm’s pitching specialist partnering closely with senior stakeholders to craft highly tailored, compelling pitches that reflect the firm’s unique strengths. Building on this, you will also take ownership of developing client‑facing and firmwide collateral, shaping how the firm presents itself to the market.

You will collaborate closely with the Director of Business Development and BD Managers to refine and streamline the pitch process, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and visibility across the partnership. This is a role where your ideas will be welcomed, and your presence will be felt.

A particularly exciting aspect of the position is its strong focus on AI and data. The firm is actively embedding AI into its day‑to‑day operations, and this role will play a key part in that evolution. An analytical mindset, curiosity about emerging tools, and hands‑on experience using AI to enhance processes and extract insights will be invaluable.

If you’re energised by the idea of combining pitch excellence with innovation, and you want to help shape how a forward‑thinking firm positions itself, this role offers a standout platform.

The firm is at a genuinely exciting stage of its journey. They are already recognised as the best in what they do, yet they remain committed to evolving, innovating, and pushing their offering forward. This role will be directly involved in that ongoing change and development, contributing to how the firm continues to grow and refine its approach.

You won’t encounter the mindset of “this is how we’ve always done things.” The culture is dynamic and forward‑thinking, with processes constantly evolving. It’s an environment where new ideas are encouraged and where you can play a meaningful part in shaping what comes next.
