Commercial Manager / Sales Manager

Office-based I Cardiff/M4 Corridor

Full-Time | Salary Competitive + Commission



Greystone Consulting Group are currently recruiting a hands-on Commercial Manager / Sales Manager for a growing firm based in Cardiff.



What You’ll Be Responsible For:


Revenue Ownership & Commercial Build

  • Establish and own the revenue function for a Tax product, delivering agreed financial targets.
  • Take accountability for commercial performance, including contribution to product-level P&L.
  • Build and improve scalable commercial models to support sustainable growth.
  • Maintain accurate revenue forecasts, pipeline visibility and performance reporting.


Strategic Partner Engagement

  • Define how strategic relationships support commercial growth, from initial alignment through to delivery.
  • Lead senior-level commercial discussions to secure commitment and long-term support.
  • Manage complex stakeholder environments to unlock adoption and measurable outcomes.
  • Act as the senior commercial representative for the company externally.


Channel-Enabled Growth

  • Identify and develop indirect routes to market capable of supporting scale.
  • Establish and manage referral-led and introducer-based distribution models.
  • Set clear commercial targets and success measures for partnerships.
  • Maintain partner performance and momentum through structured engagement and review.


Commercial & Product Positioning

  • Shape how the product is positioned commercially in the market.
  • Lead consultative, commercially focused discussions with senior decision-makers to drive adoption and revenue.
  • Translate MTD regulatory change into a clear, compelling commercial proposition that customers understand and value
  • Provide market insight to guide pricing, proposition development and go-to-market activity.
  • Work closely with Product and Growth teams to ensure revenue targets are supported by product capability.


Team Build & Revenue Leadership

  • Design and build a telesales-led growth team as adoption scales.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop sales team members focused on contractor-led revenue growth.
  • Set clear targets, performance metrics and activity standards for the team.
  • Coach and manage the team to deliver consistent, measurable revenue outcomes.
  • Ensure revenue delivery is driven both directly and through team performance.



What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in senior partnerships or commercial roles.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing sales or commercial teams, with evidence of driving revenue through others.
  • Demonstrable success building or scaling revenue functions from an early stage.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience owning revenue targets and contributing to P&L performance.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and create structure where none exists.
  • Confidence influencing senior stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Experience working with indirect, partner-enabled or multi-channel sales models.
  • Comfortable in fast-growing, product-led environments.
