Junior Embedded Software Engineer | West London - £35,000 - £45,000

I'm working with a UK-based manufacturer of safety-critical electronic products used in industrial and hazardous environments worldwide. Their devices are built for reliability in demanding, regulated settings, and engineered from concept through to long-term production and support.

What the Junior Embedded Software Engineer role entails

This is a hands-on embedded software role focused on developing safety-critical products from early design through to production. The role combines embedded firmware development on Microchip PIC microcontrollers, with electronics design, working closely with mechanical and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, real-world solutions.

Essential Requirements for the Junior Embedded Software Engineer

• Degree in a relevant engineering field
• Experience working with PIC micro-controllers
• Strong C/C++ experience in real-time or Linux environments
• Experience with communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI)

Desirable Requirements for the Junior Embedded Software Engineer

• Exposure to safety-critical or regulated software development
• Analog or Digital circuit design experience
