We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join our team in Birmingham.


About our role:

You will be a key part of our delivery team, contributing to the design and analysis of complex structures on projects in the UK and overseas, while developing your technical and project management skills. Some of the day to day tasks will include:

  • Structural design, assessments and finite elements analysis using various software
  • Structural inspection and onsite works supervision in the UK and overseas
  • Embrace and contribute to the Health and Safety culture of the Company
  • Be aware of and engage with the Environmental objectives of the Group and consider sustainability in your project and company roles


About you:

  • Accredited First Class/2:1 Masters Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Graduate Member of appropriate professional body (ICE or IStructE) and ambitions to become a Chartered Engineer
  • Basic knowledge of Eurocodes and other relevant national and international industry standards
  • Basic awareness of forms of contract, construction methodologies and civil engineering procedures
  • Desire to work in a consultancy environment on large scale infrastructure projects
  • Competent in the use of MS Office programmes and ability to develop competence in use of proprietary structural analysis programmes to suit specific role requirements
  • Strong problem solving abilities, analytical and numeracy skills, as well as ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders
