We are working with one of the UK’s leading Structural Steel Fabrication companies, supplying and erecting fabricated steel nationwide across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth and ongoing projects, they are now seeking an experienced and motivated Fabrication Foreman to join their production team.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, the Fabrication Foreman will play a key role in assisting with the leadership, supervision, and performance monitoring of the production section. You will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards are consistently achieved while maintaining effective and efficient use of labour to meet production targets and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with shift changeovers to ensure correct materials, documentation, and instructions are in place.
- Ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Reviewing manufacturing processes and recommending improvements where appropriate.
- Identifying training needs and supporting the development of employees and apprentices.
- Managing daily resources within the paint shop and coordinating with loaders (plant and labour).
- Liaising daily with management regarding workload, priorities, and production targets.
- Conducting weekly audits on a rotational basis with colleagues.
- Ordering and controlling purchased items related to your production line.
- Ensuring full traceability of all parts and providing accurate client documentation.
- Overseeing daily crane checks and ensuring accurate reporting.
- Monitoring goods in/out areas and maintaining an organised workspace.
- Ensuring inductions and risk assessments are completed before work commences.
What We Are Looking For
Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

- Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Be proactive, self-motivated, and capable of motivating others.

- Have a strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork.
