We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our team in Birmingham.
About our role:
You will be a key part of our delivery team, contributing to the design and analysis of complex structures on large-scale UK and international projects. Some of the day to day tasks will include:
- Design, analysis and checking of structures across sectors — from bridges and tunnels to retaining walls and marine works
- Undertake calculations, use a variety of design software and apply international design codes and standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and clients
- Contribute to managing time, budgets, and project resources efficiently
About you:
- Degree qualified Civil or Structural Engineer, working towards Chartership via a recognised institution (ICE, IStructE)
- Experience designing complex structures (foundations, bridges, marine structures, etc.) using steel, concrete, or composite materials
- A good understanding of structural analysis, construction methods, and advanced numerical modelling
- Familiarity with Eurocodes and international design standards
- Proficiency in finite element analysis software such as LUSAS and Midas, and excellent Microsoft Office abilities (particularly Excel)
- A collaborative approach with excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met, whilst maintaining high quality output
