Stores Person [PART-TIME]

Role Overview

As a Stores Person you will support our day-to-day and logistics operations. The role involves picking and packing, goods in and out, customer collections, local deliveries, and supporting with general site and facilities maintenance. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, safety-focused, and comfortable working within a stores environment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Stores

• Picking and packing parts accurately for production and customer orders
• Receiving deliveries, checking goods, and booking stock in to stores
• Putting stock away in the correct locations
• Preparing goods for dispatch in line with automotive quality standards
• Assisting with regular stock checks and keeping stock areas organised

Collections & Deliveries

• Managing customer and courier collections, including paperwork
• Carrying out deliveries and collections when required
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely

Facilities & General Duties

• Assisting with basic facilities and maintenance tasks
• Keeping the stores, warehouse, and yard areas clean and tidy
• Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or safety concerns
• Support continuous improvement activities

Health & Safety

• Working in line with company H&S procedures at all times
• Safe manual handling of materials and parts
• Operating forklifts and other equipment where trained and authorised

Requirements

Essential

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence required for deliveries
• Basic IT skills for stock control systems, email, dispatch

Desirable

• Experience within automotive or engineering
• Forklift licence
