**National Account Manager – Global Construction Company**



We are currently recruiting for a global construction manufacturer who employ over 10,000 people, turnover around £6 billion globally and are known for their quality and innovation. The role is for a National Account Manager managing one of the largest customers in the company. They are open to people from outside the industry who have excellent national account management skills.



Role:

You will be responsible for;

  • Strategic Sales Delivery & Oversight: Drive and execute the overarching sales strategy for all National Accounts which includes developing and implementing account-specific action plans.
  • Account Service & Support Leadership: Take full accountability for delivering exceptional service standards across all National Accounts.
  • Portfolio & Market Alignment: Ensure all account-specific strategies and activities are meticulously aligned with our broader portfolio strategies and identified target markets.
  • Forecasting & Demand Management: Lead the end-to-end process for forecasting and demand management planning for National Accounts.
  • Key Account Maintenance & Development: building strong client relationships, identifying potential areas for growth, and addressing any challenges to ensure long-term account health.
  • Proactive Business Development: Spearhead proactive business development initiatives within the National Accounts portfolio.



Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have;

  • Experience in national/key accounts in the construction sector would be ideal but would consider someone in FMCG if exceptional experience
  • Advanced Data Analysis & Interpretation skills
  • Ability to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Strong statistical analysis and forecasting capabilities
  • Strategic planning & execution
  • Ability to develop comprehensive, long-term account plans aligned with the company overall business strategy
  • Experience in identifying market opportunities
  • Deep understanding of commercial drivers, profit and loss, and pricing strategies within the manufacturing and distribution sector
  • Proven negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and build mutually beneficial agreements
  • Communication & presentation skills
  • Willing to travel to head office in the Northampton area



Package:

  • Basic Salary: up to £62,000 (negotiable based on experience)
  • Bonus 15%
