Founding Software Engineer (AI / Legal Tech)

An early-stage AI startup is building a platform used in some of the most complex, high-stakes legal cases across the UK and US. The product enables elite law firms to move faster through drafting core case documents to analysing judgments, transcripts, and vast volumes of evidence in seconds.

They are now looking for an exceptional full-stack engineer to join as one of the first hires.

Example of what the role involves:

• Owning features end-to-end, from problem definition through to production and iteration
• Current stack: Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, LLMs
• Designing and scaling document ingestion, search, and data-extraction pipelines for large, complex datasets
• Building intelligent, multi-step AI workflows that autonomously handle real professional tasks
• Creating intuitive, AI-native user experiences tailored to complex workflows
• Working directly with users to understand how they operate and what delivers real value

Practical details

Location: London (hybrid, 3 days/week)

Salary: Up to £130,000

Equity: Meaningful early-stage ownership
