Job Title: Projects Sales Engineer (Lighting) – West Midlands

Ideal Locations – 20 miles radius from Birmingham

Salary & Package -

  • Basic Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum
  • OTE: 10–20% of basic salary (performance-related)

The Company

The Company is a Manufacturer of high-quality lighting products & solutions across the UK.

We are recruiting for an experienced Lighting Projects Sales Manager to manage and develop lighting project sales across the West Midlands. The role focuses on generating project opportunities, supporting the Company branch network, and developing the brand within the local contracting and specification market.

This is a customer-facing role requiring strong relationship management, technical understanding, and the ability to manage projects from enquiry through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and generate lighting project sales across the West Midlands region

• Act as the main point of contact across numerous electrical and lighting wholesalers, providing support on lighting project enquiries

• Identify and develop new project opportunities by working closely with the Company branch network

• Build and strengthen the company brand within the local contractor, installer, and end-user markets

• Secure new business opportunities with specifiers, contractors, and end-user clients

• Liaise with key stakeholders to understand requirements and present suitable lighting solutions across healthcare, education, warehouse units, and office environments

• Conduct site surveys where required to define scope of works

• Manage the lighting design process in collaboration with the Technical Design team, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

• Ensure tenders, quotations, and technical submittals are completed accurately and progressed efficiently

• Develop and maintain a short-, medium-, and long-term project pipeline

• Increase visibility through regular site visits and customer engagement

• Build strong working relationships with company branch teams, customers, and internal departments

• Provide timely monthly reports to senior management in an agreed format

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in lighting project sales, ideally within a contractor or specification-led environment

• Strong understanding of lighting solutions, project workflows, and tender processes

• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across a defined region

• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams

Must be based within a 20 mile radius of Birmingham
