Role: Electronics Engineer

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE

KO2’s client is a Leeds-based specialist engineering company designing and manufacturing bespoke electronic products for multiple industries. Continued business growth has led to the requirement for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join the team.

The Role

• Design and develop bespoke electronic systems and circuits
• Work across the full product lifecycle, including requirements capture, design, prototyping, testing, and production support
• Produce schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation
• Debug, fault-find, and enhance existing electronic designs
• Support products through EMC testing and regulatory approval
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong background in analogue and digital electronics design
• Experience developing bespoke or low-volume electronic products
• Schematic capture and PCB design using tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad
• Proven experience with EMC and regulatory compliance (e.g. CE, UKCA, FCC)
• Confident with board-level debugging, testing, and fault-finding
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of designs
• Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience

Desirable (but not essential)

• Knowledge of wireless technologies
• Embedded systems and microcontroller development
• Experience with sensor systems, signal conditioning, and low-power electronics
