Title: Test Automation Engineer

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 + benefits

Are you a Test Engineer who loves solving complex problems, mixing automation with exploratory testing, and experimenting with new AI‑powered tools? I’m supporting a pioneering organisation in the secure‑tech sector who build highly scalable collaboration solutions for customers handling the most sensitive information in the UK.

They’re looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a growing team working across cutting‑edge cloud platforms, modern test frameworks, and AI‑augmented testing workflows. If you’re curious, pragmatic, and passionate about quality, you’ll thrive here.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and maintaining modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest).
• Balancing exploratory, functional, non‑functional and security testing.
• Leveraging AI tools to generate, enhance and analyse tests.
• Testing across UI, API, integration and end‑to‑end layers.
• Working in cloud‑native environments (AWS/GCP).
• Embedding tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborating with engineers in a fully distributed environment.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and team quality practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong automation skills in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.
• Experience across modern testing layers & tools.
• Understanding of security, performance, and risk‑based testing.
• Excellent communication in remote teams.
• UK‑based, clearable, and a British National

Nice to Have

• Prior SC/DV exposure.
• Accessibility testing.
• IaC testing (Terraform/Pulumi).
• Experience working with Government, Defence or secure systems.
