A well-backed, product-led AI company is building a commercial GenAI platform currently live with enterprise customers in the telecoms space. The product has been in market for under a year, already has a flagship commercial client, and is onboarding additional customers. The business is scaling steadily, with clear plans to expand its GenAI capabilities into adjacent industries.

They are hiring an AI Engineer to join a small, high-impact cross-functional team. This is a hands-on applied AI role, focused on NLP and LLM systems, with real ownership across modelling, deployment, and iteration in production.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy production-grade Python ML services

• Develop applied LLM/NLP systems (conversational AI, embeddings, intent/entity recognition)

• Work with PyTorch models deployed in AWS environments

• Contribute to RAG, agentic workflows, and orchestration patterns

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and leadership

• Communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Key details

• Salary: £65,000 base + private medical + full benefits + onsite parking

• Working model: Mostly remote, 1 day/week in Brighton (Thursday)

• Stack: Python, PyTorch, AWS, Docker/ECR, microservices, LLMs, NLP
