Business Development Manager |£44,000 – £46,000 basic + 5% commission on all sales
UK-based (Midlands or Home Counties preferred)
We are recruiting a Business Development Manager for a well-established consultancy delivering professional services across the built environment. This is a genuine relationship-led role focused on developing existing and warm opportunities, not cold calling.
The Role
- Manage and develop a pipeline of warm, inbound and existing client opportunities
- Build long-term relationships with clients across service related sectors
- Convert qualified leads into instructions for consultancy services
- Work closely with technical and delivery teams to support proposals and client meetings
- Conduct client meetings primarily via Teams, with minimal travel required
- Support strategic growth by identifying repeat and cross-selling opportunities
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in service-based sales (consultancy, professional services, construction services, or similar)
- Strong relationship management and account development skills
- Comfortable selling value-led services rather than products
- Commercially astute, organised, and self-motivated
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- UK-based, ideally Midlands or Home Counties, but location is flexible
