Job description
Salter Grange has partnered with a premier international Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor with a 50-year legacy of engineering excellence. Having recently joined forces with a global construction leader, our client is entering a phase of unprecedented growth across Europe and the UK. We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Business Development Manager to join their London office.
This is a pivotal role focused on expanding their footprint in the UK market, specifically targeting high-growth sectors such as Data Centres, Life Sciences, and large-scale Commercial fit-outs.
You will be the face of the company in London, bridging the gap between technical delivery teams and a blue-chip client base. Your mission will be to identify new opportunities, nurture long-term partnerships, and drive sustainable financial growth.
Business Development Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on securing high-value M&E projects across the UK.
- Build and maintain deep-rooted relationships with Tier 1 main contractors, consultants, and direct clients.
- Collaborate with the Pre-Construction and Estimating teams to manage the RFI/RFP process, ensuring the value proposition is clearly articulated and technically sound.
- Represent the firm at industry-leading conferences, networking events, and client presentations to enhance brand visibility.
- Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline and provide regular reports to the Group Head of Business Development and the Senior Leadership Team.
Business Development Manager Requirements:
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) or Tier 1 Construction sectors.
- The ability to understand and communicate complex engineering solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
If you are a driven professional ready to take the next step with a highly respected international firm, we want to hear from you.
