The Next Level is an award-winning smart home automation and AV specialist based in Watford, just outside North West London. We design and deliver world-class smart home technology solutions for super-prime residential properties, from private cinema rooms to fully integrated home automation systems.

 

We’re now looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and well-connected professional to join our growing team as a Business Development Manager.



The Role:

 

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding our presence within the super-prime residential construction sector.


As Business Development Manager, you will focus on opening doors, building relationships, and generating high-quality new business leads. You’ll represent The Next Level across the industry through networking, events, partnerships and client engagement.


This is not a technical sales role, you don’t need deep AV design experience. Instead, we’re looking for someone confident, personable and proactive, with a strong understanding of the super-prime construction world and the ability to connect with the right people.


You’ll work closely with our sales team and marketing/content creation specialists, with full support to help you succeed.



Key Responsibilities:


·      Identify and develop new relationships within the super-prime residential construction sector.

·      Promote The Next Level brand to architects, designers, developers and build professionals.

·      Attend and engage in networking events, conferences and industry groups.

·      Host showroom breakfasts, meetings and client events.

·      Support and co-host CPD presentations.

·      Collaborate with partners and manufacturers on joint promotional opportunities.

·      Brief and guide our marketing team to create content supporting your outreach.

·      Set and achieve monthly targets.

·      Provide quarterly updates to the Board on progress and performance.



Key Requirements:

 

·      Strong knowledge of the London super-prime construction market.

·      Existing network of relevant industry contacts.

·      Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

·      Comfortable building relationships from scratch and representing a premium brand.

·      Enthusiasm for smart technology and high-end residential AV systems.

·      Willingness to attend events outside normal working hours when needed.

·      Professional, organised and commercially aware.

·      Competent with Microsoft 365, Teams and presentation tools.

·      Current Uk Driving License (Ideally clean).

 

 

Beneficial (But Not Essential) Experience:


·      Background in smart home and audio visual.

·      Degree-level education.

·      Interest in golf (or willingness to learn) and experience attending industry golf day events.


Salary & Package:

 

Headline Package

£50,000 – £60,000 basic salary + performance bonus + benefits. Realistic OTE: £65,000 - £75,000+.

 

Bonus

Tiered performance bonus based on self-generated leads converted to contracted projects by our sales team.

 

Hybrid Working

Flexible and negotiable, with regular collaboration required from our Watford HQ.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30 (40 hours per week).

Flexibility is expected, as attendance to some evening events, dinners, or trade shows may be required.

 

Holiday Entitlement

33 days paid holiday per year, including:

·      8 standard public holidays.

·      5 compulsory days (non public holiday) over the Christmas shutdown.

·      20 freely assignable days.
