Business Scope: Utility-scale PV & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Role Overview
The Senior Contract Commercial Manager will play a critical role in supporting LONGi Solar’s expansion into the BESS business. This position is responsible for end-to-end commercial and contractual management of photovoltaic and energy storage projects, ensuring commercial viability, profitability, and risk control across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in business model design and project initiation reviews, assess commercial feasibility, identify key risks, and provide actionable recommendations to ensure project profitability and compliance with risk-control requirements.
- Lead cost, profit, and cash-flow estimations for photovoltaic and energy storage project bids, delivering robust commercial analysis and decision support for business teams.
- Support and collaborate with the sales team during commercial negotiations, organize contract reviews and internal approvals, and provide comprehensive commercial decision-making input.
- Manage contract handover post-signing, support contract execution, claims, and dispute resolution, and ensure projects are implemented in strict accordance with contractual terms.
- Drive and oversee the implementation of the MTC (Manage-to-Contract) process in the assigned region, including milestone reviews, internal decision-making, and governance compliance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Business Management, International Economics and Trade, Finance, Languages, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract and commercial management; experience in energy storage, renewable energy, telecommunications, manufacturing, or large multinational enterprises is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international commercial contracts and trade terms, with solid hands-on experience and a good foundation in financial analysis.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, contract review, commercial decision support, and contract performance management.
- Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin (written and spoken);
- Excellent ability to identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks, with experience managing major contracts across the full project lifecycle.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and drafting skills; highly collaborative, resilient under pressure, and adaptable to cross-regional and multicultural working environments.
