Role Summary

We are recruiting for Regulation 44 Visitors / Reg 44 to deliver independent visits and written reports across children’s homes in England.

This is a contract-based role offering ongoing, regionally varied assignments. The focus is on clear professional judgement, strong written reporting, and practical quality assurance insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Regulation 44 visits in line with statutory requirements
• Produce clear, high-quality written reports suitable for governance and senior oversight
• Identify themes, risks, and emerging concerns across services
• Highlight practical improvement actions and areas of good practice
• Engage professionally with providers and senior stakeholders
• Support wider quality assurance or inspection readiness activity where required

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience delivering Regulation 44 visits,
• or a strong equivalent background in children’s residential QA, inspection, or governance
• Excellent written reporting skills and attention to evidence
• Sound professional judgement and calm, credible stakeholder approach
• Ability to work independently across assigned regions
