Role: Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE

KO2’s client is a Bradford-based specialist engineering company that designs and manufactures bespoke electronic products for a range of industries. Ongoing growth has created an opportunity for a Senior Electronics Engineer to play a key role in the development of complex, custom-engineered electronic solutions.

This is a senior, hands-on position offering significant technical ownership and influence across the full product lifecycle.

The Role

• Lead the design and development of bespoke electronic systems and circuits
• Take ownership of projects from requirements capture through design, prototyping, verification, and production support
• Produce high-quality schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation
• Review, improve, and troubleshoot existing designs, providing technical leadership where required
• Support products through EMC testing and regulatory approval (CE, UKCA, FCC, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs
• Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to best practice and continuous improvement

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong, proven background in analogue and digital electronics design
• Experience delivering bespoke or low-volume electronic products into production
• Extensive schematic capture and PCB design experience using tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad
• Solid understanding of EMC and regulatory compliance requirements
• Confident with board-level debugging, fault-finding, and validation testing
• Ability to work autonomously, make technical decisions, and take full ownership of designs
• Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience

Desirable (but Not Essential)

• Experience with wireless technologies
• Embedded systems and microcontroller development
• Knowledge of sensor systems, signal conditioning, and low-power electronics
