ABOUT THE CLIENT:

Our client is a specialist technology organisation delivering advanced engineering solutions into highly secure and mission critical environments. Their multidisciplinary teams work across electronics, software and systems to solve complex technical challenges. Due to continued programme growth and new product development, they are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join the team.

THE EMBEDDED ENGINEER ROLE:

You will design and implement efficient real time embedded software across a range of advanced platforms covering Position, Navigation and Timing, RF communications and sensor systems. The role combines hands on development with technical leadership, covering requirements capture, design, prototyping, verification and full lifecycle delivery. You will contribute to both early stage research prototypes and production ready defence products.

EMBEDDED ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical subject
• Strong C and or C++ embedded development skills
• Experience with embedded operating systems and real time software design
• Experience working across system design, integration and test phases
• Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and toolchains
• Experience with SoC devices, SDR platforms or OpenCPI frameworks
• Good understanding of DSP algorithms
• MATLAB or Python modelling or simulation experience
