JOB – Automation Mechanical Engineer

LOCATION – Birmingham

TERM – Permanent

SALARY - £30,000 - £35,000

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding team based in the Birmingham on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• At least 2 years’ relevant experience as a Mechanical Engineer or related position
• Experienced around automation/material handling
• Have a confident technical skillset with a Mechanical Engineering qualification
• Experience with welding would be an advantage
• Have an excellent work ethic and positive attitude
• Be a team player

The Mechanical Engineering Technician role will involve:

• Supporting/overseeing the Projects and Service team
• Dealing with customers on a technical level
• Working to budgets and project timings
• Investigating new product lines and areas within which the company can expand
• Being involved in different manufacturing processes
• Ensuring projects are delivered correctly and efficiently
• Keeping track of company documentation, equipment and necessary upgrades
