Platform Engineer - Highly Prestigious Hedge Fund - London

Job description

My client, a tier-one multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their infrastructure engineering group in London.

Operating in a Kubernetes-heavy, automation-first environment, you’ll help expand and modernize the firm’s global technology platform, delivering a best-in-class foundation to power all trading, research, and enterprise workloads.

Embedded within a high-performance engineering organisation, you’ll work across container orchestration, Linux systems, infrastructure automation, and platform reliability - partnering closely with core engineering, security, and operations teams.

In the first 3–6 months, you’ll take ownership of provisioning and configuring physical and virtual servers, managing hypervisor-based infrastructure, and building automation frameworks to scale systems administration across the estate. You’ll also be comfortable troubleshooting complex systems across application, OS, and physical/virtual hardware layers in a demanding production environment.
