Procurement Specialist – Professional & Consultancy Services


Remote (UK) | Monthly team meet-up (2 days in London, Edinburgh or Durham)

Contract until December 2026 (extension possible)

Up to £500 per day Umbrella (DOE)


Are you an experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong background in professional services, consultancy, or indirect spend categories?


We’re supporting a major renewable energy and infrastructure programme in the search for a commercially astute procurement professional to play a key role in delivering best-in-class sourcing and supplier management across professional and technical consultancy services.

This is a long-term contract opportunity where you’ll work within a high-performing central procurement team helping deliver large-scale energy development and construction projects that contribute directly to the UK’s net-zero ambitions.


The Role


You’ll lead and support end-to-end procurement activity across professional & consultancy services, ensuring robust governance, strong supplier performance, and commercial value.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Managing competitive tenders and sourcing exercises across indirect/professional services spend
  • Establishing and managing framework agreements and call-off contracts
  • Negotiating commercial terms and delivering cost efficiencies
  • Ensuring compliance with ESG, sustainability, governance, and supply chain standards
  • Supplier relationship management, KPIs, and performance reviews
  • Demand forecasting and cost control
  • Supporting stakeholders across multiple business functions with procurement best practice


✅ What We’re Looking For


  • Strong procurement/sourcing experience across professional services or consultancy categories
  • Proven track record delivering commercial agreements and managing contracts/frameworks
  • Experience running full tender processes and supplier negotiations
  • Knowledge of contract management, cost control, and governance requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, project environment
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • MCIPS/RICS or working towards is desirable
  • Experience in energy, renewables, construction or infrastructure sectors is advantageous
