Electrical Design Engineer – Control Panels / EPLAN

Permanent | On-site | Flexi Hours | Customer-Facing

You’ll design, question, walk the shopfloor, challenge assumptions, and watch your schematics turn into physical control panels powering real facilities. This is a hands-on design position for someone who cares about accuracy, organisation, and the satisfaction of seeing systems work exactly as intended.

You won’t be hidden away - you’ll be part of conversations, factory visits, and practical problem-solving with people who rely on your drawings to build safely and correctly the first time.

What you’ll be doing

• Electrical design of control panel wiring systems using EPLAN
• Producing clear, structured and build-ready schematics & documentation
• Supporting panel build teams and resolving technical queries
• Interacting directly with customers to clarify requirements
• Attending factory floor / site discussions when needed
• Managing revisions and maintaining design accuracy
• Contributing to practical, workable engineering solutions — not just theory

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience using EPLAN
• Background in control panel design / wiring diagrams
• Ideally exposure to BMS (Building Management Systems) panels
• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable in a customer-facing environment
• Able to explain engineering decisions clearly to non-design stakeholders
• Someone who takes ownership — not just produces drawings

Working environment

• On-site role (5 days per week) — collaborative engineering team
• Flexi hours:
• 07:30 – 15:30 or 09:00 – 17:30
