Due to strong growth and a considerable number of new orders we're looking for an experienced naval architect to join a growing engineering consultancy in Southampton.

A diverse team with projects ranging from fast ferries to USVs, the brand has enjoyed continued exciting growth and with 6 new major projects signed are looking to work through an order book that will fill the next 3-4 years an minimum

Joining as a mid-level naval architect, duties will include:

• Hull form development
• GA planning and systems layouts
• Hydrodynamics
• Stability and weight estimation
• Design to meet relevant classification and regulatory demand
• 2D Drafting

In a candidate we're seeking a degree qualified naval architect with 4+ years of experience ideally working on commercial vessels. You'll be confident in the full suite of naval architecture duties having completed a number of challenging projects from end to end and be conifdent to work unaided across multiple designs simultaneously

You'll also be used to working extensively with Matlab and Solidworks
