Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on projects that genuinely make a difference?


At Dalkia UK, we deliver innovative decarbonisation and energy transition projects that support our clients on their journey to net zero. We’re looking for a QS to join one of our regional delivery teams, working across the Midlands and North.


Reporting to a Regional Commercial Manager, you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive commercial team where your expertise and input are truly valued.


The role


You’ll take ownership of the commercial, financial and contractual performance of your projects, including:

  • Managing and controlling the commercial and contractual elements of projects
  • Producing accurate commercial reports, forecasts and cost/value reconciliations
  • Preparing timely and accurate client valuations
  • Leading subcontract procurement and preparing subcontracts in line with company standards
  • Managing subcontract accounts, variations and change control
  • Administering commercial obligations in line with client contracts
  • Working closely with operations and design teams to identify risks and maximise opportunities
  • Supporting effective change management
  • Liaising with Commercial Managers and Project Directors on contractual matters
  • Attending project and company meetings
  • Building strong client relationships to support successful delivery and future opportunities

What we’re looking for


Essential:

  • A collaborative team player with strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs
  • A recognised qualification in Quantity Surveying (BSc, MSc, HND or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a QS role
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word


Desirable:

  • Working towards or holding professional membership (RICS, CICES or CIOB)
  • Experience within a main contracting or subcontracting environment
  • Background in M&E, MEP, building refurbishment or civil engineering
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractors
  • Experience on projects valued between £2m–£20m
  • Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts
  • Experience with cost management systems such as Navision, Oracle, SAP or COINS
