Seating Design Engineer

Job description

Responsibility:

• Lead the development and delivery of seating systems and interior components from concept to production.
• Create and manage 3D CAD models (CATIA V5/V6) and maintain engineering data within PLM systems.
• Ensure designs meet occupant comfort, material performance, and mechanism functionality requirements.
• Integrate seat safety systems (airbags, sensors, ISOFIX) and ensure compliance with FMVSS, UN-ECE, and Euro NCAP standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and timing targets for premium vehicle programs.

Primary skillset

• Experience in seating system development or interior component engineering.
• Strong understanding of materials, mechanisms, and occupant comfort principles
• Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5/ V6 ) and PLM systems

Secondary skillset

• Familiarity with seat safety systems (e.g., airbags, sensors, ISOFIX).
• Experience with premium vehicle programs and luxury interior design.
• Knowledge of global standards (FMVSS, UN-ECE, Euro NCAP).
