iOS Engineer/Developer

Location: Hybrid / Bristol

Team: Mobile Security Engineering

Are you passionate about building secure, scalable iOS apps used by millions of customers every day?

We’re looking for an iOS Engineer to join our Mobile Security team, where you’ll help protect and strengthen the security posture of our mobile applications across the bank. You’ll work on a suite of reusable security components, SDKs, and services that empower engineering teams to build with confidence in an ever-evolving threat landscape.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and developing secure, reusable iOS frameworks and SDKs
• Building scalable, modular mobile architectures used across multiple apps
• Integrating security best practices into the mobile development lifecycle
• Collaborating closely with engineers across teams to drive inner sourcing and reusability
• Championing engineering quality through TDD, code reviews, CI/CD, and automation
• Contributing to services such as penetration testing, obfuscation, and security consultancy

What we’re looking for (Essential)

• Strong Swift programming expertise
• Hands-on experience with Xcode, Git, GitHub, XCTest, XCUITest
• Experience with modular architectures, frameworks, and patterns like MVVM
• Proven experience building and maintaining SDKs/frameworks
• Strong understanding of Swift concurrency (async/await, GCD, Operations)
• Experience delivering production-scale iOS applications
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills
• Passion for engineering best practices: TDD, Pair Programming, CI, automated testing

Nice to have (Desirable)

• Knowledge of mobile security principles (secure storage, authentication, data protection)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile, including GitHub Actions or Fastlane
• Exposure to security testing, obfuscation, or app hardening techniques
