Hartmann Young is partnered with a leading European CMO within the dietary supplements and consumer health space to appoint a Business Development Manager – UK, supporting an ambitious phase of growth.
This is a high-impact commercial role suited to an individual who operates at a consistently high level, brings a strong track record of closing complex, high-value deals, and takes genuine pride in delivering a best-in-class client experience.
The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established, multi-site European CMO with significant growth plans. This role offers the opportunity to work with large, sophisticated customers, managing complex sales cycles and acting as a trusted commercial partner to branded supplement companies across Europe. Success in this position requires commercial rigour, attention to detail, and technical credibility, alongside the ability to build long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across key European dietary supplement markets
- Own and close high-value, complex CMO sales opportunities, from initial engagement through to long-term manufacturing agreements
- Act as a trusted partner to customers, delivering a high-touch, solutions-led service
- Build and manage relationships with senior commercial, technical and procurement stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of formulations, manufacturing processes and regulatory considerations
- Work closely with internal technical, regulatory, quality and operations teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting and CRM reporting
- Represent the business professionally at key European industry events
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience selling CMO or contract manufacturing services within the UK dietary supplement market
- Track record of successfully closing large-value, complex B2B deals
- Strong technical understanding of dietary supplement manufacturing and regulatory frameworks
- Highly detail-oriented with pride in delivering an exceptional level of service
- Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across multiple functions
- Commercially astute, structured and process-driven
- Ambitious, growth-minded and motivated by long-term career progression
