The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a workshop environment within the power generation and equipment sector.

The Role

The Workshop Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving operational excellence across the workshop.

You will lead a team of technicians, manage scheduling and resources, ensure health & safety compliance, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Plan, organise and supervise all workshop activities to meet customer deadlines and service KPIs
  • Allocate resources effectively to maximise productivity and minimise downtime

Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate and develop workshop staff
  • Ensure training and performance standards are achieved
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide constructive feedback

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all work meets company and customer standards
  • Maintain full compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols

Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Manage stock levels of parts and consumables
  • Ensure tools and machinery are properly maintained and calibrated

Customer Service

  • Liaise with customers regarding progress updates
  • Resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in workshop management or a similar supervisory role
  • Strong technical knowledge in areas such as:
  • Diesel Generators
  • Portable Air Compressors
  • De-watering Pumps
  • Lighting Towers
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Solid understanding of health & safety regulations
  • Experience with scheduling and workflow systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
