Location: London (Richmond office) | Type: Full-time | Sector: Wholesale Meat Import 

 

The Opportunity

Join GVFI Europe, a key subsidiary of GVFI AG, Switzerland’s premier meat importer. With over a century of heritage and a dominant global market position, we are the bridge between the world’s finest producers and the European and UK market. 

We are expanding our presence in the UK and are looking for a results-driven Salesperson to further develop our growth. If you are passionate about the meat industry and thrive in an agile, international environment, this is your chance to make a significant impact on our retail and foodservice presence in the UK.

 

Your Role

As a core member of our London team, you will be fully immersed in the end-to-end supply chain—from global procurement to final sale.

  • Market Expansion: Proactively cultivate the UK market focusing on the sale of premium imported beef and lamb.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for our existing UK customer base while building new, long-term partnerships with major retail and foodservice clients.
  • Operational Excellence: Take full ownership of procurement, warehousing coordination, and sales processes to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Market Intelligence: Use your industry expertise to identify emerging trends and develop new business opportunities. 


Your Profile

  • Industry Expert: Several years of proven experience in the meat industry is essential. A background as a meat specialist or butcher is highly advantageous.
  • Commercial Acumen: You hold a commercial qualification and possess a "flair" for the retail and foodservice sectors.
  • Agile & Independent: You are a self-starter who can manage complex processes independently while remaining a flexible team player.
  • Excellent Communicator: You have a clever, persuasive way of expressing yourself and building rapport with diverse business partners.
  • Resilient: You thrive under pressure and are motivated by achieving measurable success and taking on responsibility.
