Role overview

Join a global leader in real estate services and investment management as a Building Surveyor within our Building Consultancy team in London. You will work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, office, mixed‑use and institutional assets, delivering technical advice, project management and strategic solutions that help clients optimise their real estate.


What you’ll do

  • Carry out building inspections and technical due diligence, producing clear, high‑quality reports for investors, occupiers and lenders.
  • Prepare and negotiate schedules of dilapidations, exit strategies and schedules of condition for landlord and tenant instructions.
  • Support fit‑out and refurbishment projects (CAT A/B office, refurbishment and repair works) as Assistant / Project Manager and Contract Administrator.
  • Develop planned preventative maintenance (PPM) plans, lifecycle costings and reinstatement cost assessments across client portfolios.
  • Provide advice on defect analysis, building compliance, ESG and “Future of Workplace” considerations for client assets.
  • Collaborate with architects, M&E consultants, cost managers and internal teams (Agency, Capital Markets, Property Management) to deliver integrated real‑estate solutions.


What we’re looking for

  • RICS‑accredited degree and ideally MRICS (or actively working towards) in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years’ PQE in building surveying within a consultancy environment, with experience in condition surveys, dilapidations and project work.
  • Strong report‑writing and communication skills, able to translate technical findings into commercial recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of standard forms of contract (JCT/NEC) and basic contract administration.
  • Comfortable working on multiple projects, managing deadlines and travel across London and the UK.
