Salary: £50,000 – £60,000

The Role

A well-established, family-owned accountancy firm in Milton Keynes is seeking a Client Manager to join the team due to continued expansion.

This is a key leadership role within a collaborative, values-driven practice that supports SMEs and start-ups. You will oversee a portfolio of clients, lead and develop a small team, and work closely with Partners and Directors to deliver high technical standards while contributing to wider strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, mentoring and oversight to a small team and client portfolio

• Ensuring timely and compliant delivery of accounts, tax, VAT and statutory services

• Maintaining high standards of compliance while fostering strong client relationships

• Monitoring deadlines, service levels and client expectations

• Promoting effective use of internal systems, including Salesforce

• Supporting quality assurance and resolving complex technical matters

• Working closely with Partners and Directors on client delivery and strategic objectives

• Identifying training needs and supporting team development

• Attending strategic client meetings and delivering value-added advisory insight

• Supporting business development and identifying opportunities for additional services

Ideal Background

• Fully qualified ACA or ACCA with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience

• Proven experience in people management and leadership

• Strong UK practice background with SME client exposure

• Based in or near Milton Keynes, with flexibility to travel if required

• Commercial, organised and client-focused approach
