Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to take your career to the next level? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking building services consultancy where you’ll work on technically challenging projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and expand your design expertise.


You’ll have the chance to contribute to meaningful projects across multiple sectors, while applying sustainable, low and zero carbon (LZC) solutions and modern engineering practices.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing mechanical building services for a variety of projects, from concept to completion
  • Producing detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality designs
  • Managing your own work to meet programme, budget, and quality targets
  • Contributing to project meetings and liaising with colleagues across disciplines
  • Applying sustainability principles, including renewable and low/zero carbon technologies
  • Supporting site activities to ensure designs are implemented correctly
  • Keeping up to date with new technologies and industry developments through CPD
  • Working proactively, both independently and as part of a collaborative team


What We’re Looking For

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • Minimum of 1 year’s post-qualification experience in building services design
  • Experience with Revit, Amtech, Relux/Dialux, and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of British and European Standards and Building Regulations
  • Familiarity with HTMs (beneficial but not essential)
  • Membership or working towards membership of a professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IET)
  • Understanding of renewable and low/zero carbon technologies
  • Working knowledge of BREEAM (desirable)
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines, including electrical engineering
